Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Shauna Glenn Zemken, OD the leading provider of vision care products and services in Johnstown.

Shauna Glenn Zemken, O.D.

In 1993 I became the 7th member of my extended family to carry on the tradition of eye care. Upon graduation from New England College of Optometry, I joined my father in his private practice of 50 years in my hometown of Fort Plain, NY. I purchased the practice from my father in 1995 and continued to operate the family business. I relocated my independent, private practice to Johnstown, NY in 2014 where it continues to thrive and grow. I enjoy connecting with patients, explaining ocular conditions and responding to their questions to the best of my ability. Each of my patients receives a thorough examination unless presenting with a focused complaint. My findings are always shared with the patients’ primary care physician in cases of diabetes or any other systemic conditions manifesting ocular signs and symptoms. Additionally, the Capital District has a wealth of ophthalmology specialists available to patients requiring evalution and treatment.
